Just For Fun

Here are some whimsically fun pieces that will start conversations in your outdoor room.  Sometimes you just have to have some fun!!

The Tea Bag Lamp is cute fun and if you were to hang up a bunch of them it would really get the conversation going.

The Tea Tag is a solar cell that will illuminate the little Tea Bag which standing about twelve inches high.  I think they would be darling hanging from tree branches or on a table top.  The String on the Tea Bag can be used for hanging the light.  These pieces are made from recycled materials and inside each lamp are real tea leaves.  Fun!

Hirotoshi Itoh makes art out of rocks, and exudes a warmth and sense of humour.

Itoh studied fine arts at Tokyo National University where he was drawn to metal work.  Wanting to show examples of hard surfaces being soft, he developed a desire to work with stone.

After graduation he became a stone mason which he still does today. While he works with various types of stone, most of his work is found in the river bed close to his home.

Rather than trying to carve an image into the stone, Itoh likes to work with the stone in it's natural form to create his work.

Itoh wants people to be able to touch and feel his work.  The greatest honor to Itoh is to see people laugh and smile when viewing his work.

And now for something completely different...

What a treat it was in the summer time to have a Kool-Aid Popsicle created in the mold of Tupperware Popsicle holders.  All that plastic goodness we ingested over the years...  Yikes :)

Eco Friendly, ONYX Popsicle Molds are made from 8/8 stainless steel.  This fast freeze mold is easy to use, easy to clean, and will last you a life time.

Designed so that one Popsicle can be removed (or re-filled) at a time. Simply hold the mold in your hand for a moment or run under warm water briefly.  (Not too long as it will release very quickly.)

Each set comes with one stand, 6 molds, 6 lids and 12 removable silicone rings.  The rings ensure proper stick placement.  No more tilted or sunken sticks!

The Tickle Trunk is currently working on reusable Bamboo sticks, but at this time they are not available.

Diane Lin Design has the most excellent string lights!  They are soft to the touch and can be molded in the hand much like a stress ball.  Made from silicon the d' light Bubbles can be placed anywhere.  Hang them up or lay them down on a table, in a tree or even a pergola.  Use your imagination here!

This last item blew my mind the first time I saw it.  It's so ingenious.

This amazing looking Chandelier was once 14 two liter milk jugs!

Amazing isn't it?

With some wire and ingenuity  Alexander Reh has designed something that is really cool to look at while simultaneously helping  to keep a little more plastic out of the land fills.

It is a DIY project but anyone can do it as the instructions are provided.

Start saving your milk jugs and put your thinking cap on because anything is possible if you just use your imagination.
